We've added social bookmarking links back into our platform. After Google's Penguin 2.1 update last year, we discontinued it to ensure no harm was done to the target sites.
After analyzing numerous sites, we've concluded it can be beneficial when done in a strategic way. Social bookmarking links are a great way to show the site's engagement signals to Google. Social engagement always equals popularity in the eyes of the major search engines.
We will only provide a handful of social bookmarking links to active keywords and its main URL. Since the links require manual submissions, you may not notice the update right away as we will continue to drip submit them.
